Avenue Montaigne We started our journey on Montaigne Avenue. We talked about the biggest luxury groups such as LVMH, Kiering and Richemont. There was always a rivalry between this groups and who was the most important. You will have a Maison from LVMH on one side of the street and the other side a Kiering Maison. So we went trough the avenue and saw a lot of nice stores. It started raining so we had to move to La Samaritaine. La Samaritaine The Samaritaine is a historic department store in Paris, known for its iconic Art Nouveau and Art Deco architecture. It first opened in 1870 and has undergone renovations over the years. After being closed for a major renovation, it reopened in 2021 with a mix of retail spaces, including luxury brands, a hotel, and a rooftop terrace offering panoramic views of the city. Avenue Montaigne  During this journey on Rive Droite we (re) discovered the most emblematic locations of luxury with Mr. Poultier du Mesnil.  First, we strolled down Avenue Montaigne, where we learned more about the rivalry between the 2 leading groups in the luxury goods market : the LVMH group headed by Bernard Arnault and the Kering group leaded by François Pinault.  There, passing by Chanel, Loro Piana and Dior, he explained to us that the placements of each store were in fact "strategic" for the brands and the different groups.  Indeed, YSL is placed in opposite of Dior for example, to push the competition between the two groups even more. 18 th of October 2023   It is on the 18th of 2023 that Mr. Laurent Poultier du Mesnil took us in the most important luxury places of Paris. We first took a cup of coffee to warm us up because of the raining. We also got to know him a little and we talked about ourselves.
